I often write in chronology and this song was a perfect fit to do just that. I love the mornings--my favorite part of the day--and that is how the first two verses came to be. That said, I didn't want to simply stop there because God is truly with us at all times. Jesus said He is the "Light of the World" and this song is my attempt at personalizing that truth just a bit.
